Starting on August 4, 2019, the Allegheny City Historic Gallery will be displaying photos of old Manchester at the historic Anderson Mansion located at 1423 Liverpool Street.  The display will be part of a House & Garden Tour to take place throughout the month of August, brought to you by the Manchester Historic Society.  The mansion was built in the 1850’s and was one of the earliest homes built in Manchester Borough.  The ACHG however will be showing off many different eras of Manchester’s colorful history.  Bill and Kim Gandy from the ACHG will be there on the 1st day to explain the photos on display.  The display will be up the entire month though.  Make sure that you come through to check us out!

  1. I remember that building – we called it the “Old Ladies’ Home”. We who attended the Manchester Educational Center went there at Christmas time to sing. O happy memories of childhood!
