Ever wonder what it would look like if you took a stroll in downtown Pittsburgh in the late 1800’s?  These amazing and rare Business, Trade Advertisement Cards, from the Victorian era will give you a good mental visual of the types of businesses that actually existed.  These cards come from Northsider, Bob Blackham’s family collection of Allegheny Trade cards that includes businesses from Allegheny City (Northside), Pittsburgh, Etna, Millvale, McKeesport and quite a few national Ads.  We at the Allegheny City Historic Gallery has taken the time to digitize this entire collection for preservation and sharing purposes.  Enjoy this trip to late 19th century, downtown Pittsburgh.  Be sure to also check out our collections of Allegheny City, Tonics and Elixers and Blaxploitation advertisement trade cards.
