Horsfords Acid Phosphate Trade Card 1870’s – 1880’s. From Bob Blackham’s Allegheny City Trading Card Collection.

Northsider Bob Blackham’s family has been on the Northside since it was Allegheny City.  His family created a book of advertisement trade cards being circulated during Northside’s Allegheny City incarnation.  We began studying the collection closely which gave us good insight to the lifestyle, products and advertised cures during the Victorian Era.  We will be releasing different collections of these cards until the entire collection is available on-line.   We present to you a gallery of advertised cures from Victorian Era Trade Cards.  Some cures worked but many were not effective.
